My People International (MPI) is a faith-based organization focused on developing the full capacity of Native North Americans. Though predominantly comprised of Native people, the staff and board of MP reflect a strong commitment to Native leadership development in an intercultural setting.

Nestooaak: Building Our Capacity
Something Discovered...Something Missing

Each year we run one or two Nestooaak (Capacity Building) workshops in faith communities where we are invited. This fall we were hosted by St. Faith Anglican Church in Edmonton, served by Cree pastor Travis Enright. Travis welcomed the participants into the circle with a beautiful smudging ceremony in worship of Creator, to purify our hearts and centre our thoughts, words and actions for the weekend.
