Roger Boyer
Roger Boyer - Youth and Young Adults

ROGER A. BOYER II

Roger A. Boyer II, a member of the Mississauga First Nation, believes that in modern missions, no other people group is so uniquely positioned by the Creator, Jesus Christ for world evangelization as First Nations people are today. Being First Nations, Roger is committed to seeing Native North Americans emerge into a powerful place of ministry.  Through repentance, reconciliation, and restoration they can help bring healing to the Body of Christ around the globe. His vision is, “To walk with Almighty God through a relationship with Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit redeem and reconcile the “Next Generation” of First Nations people into right relationship with their creator through contextual gospel presentations and Native leadership development and deployment.”

Roger has been a regional catalyst in the fight against youth/young adult Native suicide within the Treaty 7 area of Southern Alberta. He is a member of the North American Indigenous Institute for Theological Studies (NAIITS) and is undertaking his PhD studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky under their auspices. He has worked in ministry for ten years with Athletes in Action, YWAM, and, most recently, My People International, to ensure the message of Jesus Christ reaches the nations.

Roger consults with denominational and para-church leaders and local churches to raise awareness of the status and circumstances of the coming generation of First Nations people. In addition, he is a professional consultant within the business community, providing spiritual leadership, vision and covering.

In 2006, Roger was ordained as a pastor. He has a unique view of some of the internal and external cultural, social and spiritual conflicts within the “Next Generation” First Nations people today.  He and his wife of 4 years, Tammy, and their two dogs, Kiska and Bronte make their home on the Nakoda Sioux Stoney First Nation Reserve at Morley, Alberta, 120 km west of Calgary.
