Nicole Yellow Old Woman

Nicole Yellow Old Woman is from the Siksika Nation and currently lives with her husband, Darren Curly Rider, and two daughters, Mireya 9 and Na’tehya 5 in Red Deer, Alberta. Her Blackfoot name is "Ikiinikto'aki" meaning Silent Approaching Woman.
Nicole is a singer and motivational speaker who works with Indigenous Youth world wide. In 2006 she shared her culture & spirituality in Northern Ireland and will also represent her people and beliefs in Russia this fall. Nicole is working on completing her Business Administration Program.
She has traveled throughout Canada and the United States on the powwow circuit as a jingle dress dancer and was recently chosen as the head lady dancer at powwows in California, Texas and Oregon. Nicole is also the former Miss Siksika 1995 and Calgary Stampede Indian Princess 1996 as well as the 2009 Alumni Ambassador for the Calgary Stampede. Nicole desires to use her dance & talents to reach her people for the kingdom of God. |
