“Indigene: Generation X” began as an initiative of young indigenous people. Their strong desire was to do research into the needs of majority-world indigenous youth, to build contacts with them and to promote the WCGIP and it’s principles among them. The project has selected three areas of the world in which to focus at the moment: Thailand, Northern India and Tibet, and South Africa. In the words of the leaders of this movement, “We will be looking at meeting with indigenous youth in communities throughout these countries talking about the issues that they face and the strengths that they have. We will look at how we can partner with them in building new leaders in their own community and give them the opportunity to experience the growth and transformation that travel and working with other cultures brings.” “Please drop back at the MPI site and check out our page regularly for further updates on the progress of this ministry of the WCGIP youth. Thank-you for your prayers and for your support!” From those of us at MPI… May we invite you to join in prayer and material support of this youth-imagined and much needed outreach! The 7th WCGIP, scheduled for Israel this September 8 – 18, will be an historic event for indigenous youth of the world who follow Jesus. Help make their impact a huge one!![]() “Larissa Minniecon and Matt LeBlanc hanging out with the Governor General of Australia and a few of her friends during Anzac Days in Sydney, Australia!” |
